Viva Mexico
This February Francisco and I took of an adventure to Mexico. Having travelled to a number of beautiful locations in Mexico we were up for a new destination. Having heard about Huatulco, Oaxaca for years from family they decided to make it the destination.
This mellow area offers a number of fun travel opportunities and a whopping 9 bays to explore, surf, swim or just enjoy a cold beer under a palapa at. Huatulco is the definition of unspoiled natural wonder with over 18 miles of coastline and 36 beaches. From sleepy protective coves, crashing waves surf spots to a nude beach (Zipolite), it really offers a little something for everyone, including the National Turtle Center.
We found an amazing home perched at the edge of a cliff that opened directly onto panoramic views of the ocean. View this perfect adult retreat on Airbnb. This is not suitable for young children for safety reasons. But there are a number of great, on-the-beach, spots for families.
Huatulco turned out be a magical destination to relax. We were able to bracket our trip with a stop in Mexico City at each end to visit family. A visit to the top of the Monumento a la Revolución with Francisco's family led to lots of laughter as we climbed up and up to the very top. 360 degrees views were our reward. Mexico City is a city rich in culture, history, art and cuisine and an unforgettable travel desination itself.
