Family portraits come in all different shapes and sizes, flavors and colors. At Campbell Salgado Studio we focus on two compatible and yet completely different approaches.
Our Original Portraits™ sessions take place in our cozy Portland photography studio, whereas the Vignettes™ - Visual Tales of Home and Family, occurs in your most comfortable space - home or a favorite location in Portland.
Telling Your Family’s Story in Pictures
Invite us through your front, back or side door and we'll savor all the nuances and dynamics that makes your family special.
Whether it's baking pies, swinging on the tire swing, sharing a snack or climbing trees, we know the activities you do as a family are like little seeds planted in fertile soil soon to become treasured memories as your children grow up. Aren't we are all nostalgic for our childhoods.
Favorite spot in Portland? We've gone up on bridges, into food cart pods, parks and more. This is not your typical on location portrait but a well crafted documentary of your favorite people and places.
Many of us have only our memories to guide us back to this place. Foods, toys, playmates and family are all childhood impressions we return to again and again as adults. With a Vignettes™ session, your children will have a meaningful slice of their childhood preserved in photos.

On Location Shoots
Your friendly photographer will arrive at your house with all the lenses, lights and necessary accoutrements to follow your family through the house for the next couple of hours. Mom and Dad just sit back and enjoy this precious family-time while a steady hand and heart captures it forever.
Later we will help you design books or wall layouts for your home from our selection of fabulous photo products.
Session + Package
With a wide range of pricing among Portland photographers it’s important to know that at Campbell Salgado Studio your portrait investment goes to supporting local artists with 25+ years of experience, an amazing team of talented and caring people and a gorgeous location that will make you feel at home.
To be photographed with us we have a minimum order of a small package or equivalent, in addition to your sitting fee.
Your Package Includes...
A 30 minute planning session over the telephone.
An 2 hours on location photo session.
A personalized photo blog post on our site to share with friends and family.
The following week we’ll schedule an online gallery combined with a Zoom conference to help you place your order.
