Summertime Minnesota Style
This Summer we took a family-focused trip to Minneapolis.
Really what is more quintessential than Claes Oldenburg’s Spoonbridge and Cherry at theMinneapolis Sculpture Garden. We all had a blast finding goofy ways to play with perspective and the spoon. The Walker Art Center next door helped us pass the 90 degree day in a cool air conditioned art space. The kids even got to create plaster gauze reliefs a la George Segal.
Visiting a little red cabin in the Wisconsin lake district reminded us of how wonderful it is to play with your cousins, splash in a lake and catch a fish. Which Francisco did with certainly the most aplomb.
