Nothing feels finer than being published in one of your favorite periodicals. Even when the clerk at Powell’s gave me a strange look for slapping eight copies down on the counter, I was grinning from ear to ear. I entered a series of artistic, collaborative children’s portraits that I’ve been creating into the American Photo Images of the Year, 3rd Annual Competition.
