Kim Campbell
To show his appreciation for the beautiful life they have created together, Francisco wrote the following letter to help illustrate what Kim means to him and the studio:
Dear Kim,
You are one of the most talented people I know. When we met as students, and soon thereafter fell in love, I was moved by the incredible talent and versatility you displayed in every discipline you encountered: knitting, guitar, gardening; you’re a natural.
As an art therapist you were this warm, friendly, supportive person that people trusted and wanted to know. When you became a photographer you combined your knowledge of human behavior with the art of making extraordinary portraits. You’re able to bring forth emotions in the faces of your subjects that are powerful and evocative.
I learn so much from you—about connecting with our clients and creating an inviting and safe environment while doing what we need to do during a session. I borrow from your remarkable repertoire and patience with kids, and from your graceful relationship with my daughter and our own son.
I constantly redefine myself in terms of the words I use to describe you: paragon, tenderness, happiness, extraordinary, beautiful, smart, friend, funny...
You make my heart beat quickly, and are the light that guides me through tempestuous waters. I could not dream of being happy and successful without you.
Lovingly,
Francisco
